Folk & Traditional Arts in Education

The Folk Arts in Education (FAIE) initiative is an ongoing partnership between regional folklife centers and local schools. In-class and virtual workshops are led by folk artists in music, dance, crafts, storytelling, and other art forms at no cost to the schools.

The Folk Arts at Home program connects folk artists and homebound individuals through free cultural presentations, presented either virtually or in participants’ homes.

FCNNJ works diligently with folk artists to present multicultural programs that are authentic and representative of the region. Our free public events represent a wide variety of cultures and traditions, from Ukrainian Pysanky workshops to Puerto Rican Parrandas.
