Folk & Traditional Arts at Home
The Folk Arts at Home program is designed for those who are unable to engage in community arts events and activities due to disabilities, health or other reasons.
At Home programs are open to Northern NJ homebound residents and their caregivers
at no cost.
Programming is currently offered indoors, outdoors, or virtually over Zoom, which is accessible by cell phone, iPad or computer.
If you, your caregiver or a family member,
don’t have an electronic device, ask about storytelling or music, which may be held
over landline phones.
Participants may choose from a variety of folk and traditional arts brought
by skilled performers and craftspeople. These include:
Chinese brush painting
Puerto Rican Bomba
Italian storytelling & drumming
West African drumming
Irish harp & flute
Philippine eggshell mosaic
Celtic designs
